12 weeks scan?

So is the 12 week scan is it when they check for the down syndrome? Today they did a blood test for the down syndrome  is that the 12 weeks scan? Or what is the 12 weeks scan???

Thank you ladies it's just real confusing because I want my 12 weeks scan . & my doc ain't that much of a help

Yea I sign a paper that I agree with the down syndrome blood test.  Yea they told me I had to do it again in the end of my pregnancy which thought it was really weird.

It is just weird because you will have to retake the test at 25w because that is when most women develop gd if they do end up with it. Did you tell your doctor you wanted the down syndrome testing?
If you are in California you have to sign a paper saying you want it done.

Yea  I made sure if it was safe to take the glucose test this early. They said their making it doing early early to make sure pregnant women to have diabetes in the early pregnancy.  Yes I drank a cold bottle kinda sweeT. But I didn't get no ultrasound ; ( im thinking of moving clinic because that clinic ain't helping

Im 13w4d and they did my ultrasound yesterday for down syndrome and my baby is healthy and growing.

The glucose test isn't until 25-28w so maybe you had the down syndrome test. Did you drink a gross drink and then get blood drawn?
The down syndrome testing at 12w is just a blood test and ultrasound.

Must be a bit different here because they do the glucose one at 26-28wks, but you can have the blood test and scan for downs at 10-12wks if you choose to do it, in Australia.

Im just worried because they haven't done the 12 weeks scan yet.  They inly did the glucose test and the down syndrome one today should I be concern

Im going tomorrow for my 12week n theyre doing ultrasound measurment. N blood test for downsyndrome.
