12 weeks??

So when is the magic number so I can heave a sigh of relief?  Is it right when 12 weeks starts or is it when the 12th week ends?  I'm so anxious I've been having nightmares every night, I know that some of that has to do with hormones in general but I'm exhausted and worthless during the day!

Thanks!

Aww honey I know that 12 week milestone seems like once you pass you can take a breath of fresh air... but unfortunately once you pass it your just going to keep worrying. I kept making new milestones to pass with my daughter my last pregnancy. She's now almost 3 and I still worry about her constantly.

Thanks!  I'd really like to have some relief.  I know about the 20-24 weeks, but I'd like to work on this 12 week milestone first and not be negative about all of this, so I don't continue to have nightmares for the entire 9 months.

It's when ever the first trimester ends which should be the end of week 12, but the real time you can relax is 20-24 weeks. Then the rate of miscarriage or stillborn is even more slim. 24 weeks is also good, because a baby has a better chance (I think 50%) of survival if born.
