13 week ultrasound

Today I had my 13 week ultrasound and I saw a little turtle head on the screen. When I said to the tech "Is that a boy?", she pointed to it and said what do you think? I think she was afraid to tell me this early. So is a boy's part really noticeable on the screen? Because it looked like a little pinky sticking straight up and she wouldn't give me a straight answer!

I wouldn't get your hopes up yet at my 12 week scan we swore we seen boy parts and everyone we showed the us to said it was definitely a boy!! My hubby was so excited and told every one only to find out at 19 weeks she's a girl! Lol

Lol I'm just anxious. It was there clear as day, but I guess it could be a girl's pubic bone too. Urgh this is so frustrating!

God Id love a peek at my munchkin at 13 wks just to see if I could tell lol Though prolly a bad thing since Im already struggling with the Chinese Calendar vs old wives tales lol. The calendar telling me boy while the old wives saying girl. Im praying for a girl so hard lol Ive even got coworkers and a few of our decent regular customers praying too xD

I found out I was having a boy at 13w6d but a penis and scrotum was seen and I also had the 3d but it was easier to see in the 2d ive had it confirmed at 16, 19, 23 weeks and am now 26 weeks so it could very well be a boy...some ultrasound techs are superior at what they do

I think at 13 weeks (unless it's 3d, and even then it's iffy) it's pretty early. My U/S tech guessed about 14-15 weeks mine was a boy, and was right for my previous pregnancy, but that was 3D.

Remove the spaces. But this is what the sex organs look like from the first trimester into the second. As you can see, they start out looking pretty much the same. This is why they wait to tell you the sex. I found out at 18 weeks with both of my pregnancies and it was very clear what we were looking at.

The doctor spoke to me and said because of my age and the shape of the lobe at the back of the baby's head, that it is extremely unlikely that it'll have brain syndrome. He said it is about a 1 in 24000 chance for me, but he also drew blood too.
