165 Heart bit rate. Is it boy or girl?

Hi,
Today I had first ultrasound and doctor’s appointment. Also I am 12 weeks today. My baby was very active and heart bit rate was 165. Do you have idea about that? It’s going to be a girl? I heard girl’s heart bit rate always faster than boy. Any comments would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Sue

They say over 160 a girl any lower a boy..but its just a old wives tale. In my case they were both complete opposites.

personally i dont think the heart rate has any way of determining the sex of the baby...only an ultrasound can tell! :)

Around 12 weeks the heart rate is a lot of the time higher than the usual 120-160. However, it has no way of determining the sex of the baby and is just an old wives tale. Heart rates differ from high to low depending on what the baby is doing at the time of listening. If the baby is awake and active it is usually higher and if it is sleeping or resting then it is usually lower. My daughter would have a heart rate of around 155 when she was awake and then 135 when she was sleeping.
