38 weeks not sure is it's labor?

My stomach is getting hard every 5-6 minutes apart. It doesn't hurt but it gets so tight it feels like she's going to rip threw my stomach I called the on call Dr I'm just waiting for them to call me back could I be going into labor even thoe they are not painful?

That's how I felt. And I was on,active labor. And dilating !!! I felt no pain at all, so not everyone's the same.

BH are inconsistent and will stop if you eat, drink or walk around. My friend went to the hospital at 36w for a check up and was 8cm dilated and contracting very closely and hadn't felt a thing. If you don't hear back from the on call Dr soon and they get closer or more intense call L&D

Sounds more like braxton hicks not actual contractions. Real labor contractiona will start in your back and work all the way around to your stomach!

Yes some women don't even know they're contracting when they are. When it tightens does it last 45-90 seconds?
