HAS ANYONE HAD A D&C DONE BEFORE?   I JUST FOUND OUT MY HORMONS LEVES WERE DOWN AND SINCE THE DOCTOR COULD NOT SEE THE BABY IN THE ULTRASOUND, NOW HE IS SENDING ME TO GET A D&C.. DOES IT HURT? SHOULD I REQUEST DAYS OFF FROM WORK??? OR SHOULD I WAIT UNTIL MY BODY DO A MISCARRIAGE ON IT OWNS?

am really sorry about that, but if i were u i wouldnt get a dc i would just wait for ur body to do it. u never know things can change...wish u the best

the ladies above are right.  i had 2 of them.  theu put you under and you feel nothing.  i woke up very crampy but when i got home i was fine.  the dr gave me some pain meds and some motrin.  you will have some bleeding amd maybe some cramping for a few days.  i went apple picking the day after ym first one cause i could not stay in the house and cry any more, so i got out with some friends.  i think that is the hardest part is the emotional pain.

but i would take 2 days off of work.

Same here didn't feel anything at all. I took 3 days off work just because I didn't want to rush it. The cramps after were similar to the first day of my period. Just really bad period cramps. It took 6 weeks before I had another period.

I'm very sorry you have to go through this. You're not alone and most women who suffer a loss are able to go on and have a healthy pregnancy the next time.

They will put you under, so you wouldnt feel any pain. You will also go home with in an hour after. Your dr. will tell you to take it easy for the next few days. i didnt follow order's and was put moving around like normal(we planed a trip for that weekend I had the d&c and still went) ANd ahh, i was in pain! For most women it will be like a normal period after. but for me the bleeding stoped that day. It took me 5w to get my first cycle back, so know it could take as long as 8w....

Take at least 2 days off work.  You won't feel a thing.  They put you to sleep.  You'll feel like you have your period after, but you can take Tylenol after.  I'm sorry that this happened to you.  I went through the same thing last year.  I was devistated.  Good luck to you in the future.
