Oh no...how stressful! I hope K is being supportive! I hope that your pee is good this time!!! Hopefully things will get better! I can't believe work is being difficult on top of all your other problems! I had to leave today with little notice and my boss was so nice. I wish your boss will have a change of heart!
Laura you can vent anytime you would like to!!! :)
Thanks everyone!
Your support means soo much to me. It feels good to get it out and feel like I can rant here.. Thanks to all of you fabulous ladies!! (and Medhelp too, of course!)
Oh hunny Im sorry, It sounds like you have had a hard time so far! BUT It will all be worth it in the end.....
I dont know too much about the protein in the urine but that it can possibly mean preeclampsia. BUT that doesnt mean you have it for sure.... just hang in there and do the tests and we will be keeping our fingers crossed for you and baby jaxson! Keep us posted
Hey hon!
I'm sorry you're having so many things go "wrong". Like the other girls have said, don't worry too much about the protein because it could be something you ate too. If you do have preeclampsia, then your doctor will let you know. I've been monitoring my blood pressure at the local Wal-mart (even tho their machines are not as accurate as the nurses at the dr's office) because, aside from gest. diabetes, I'm afraid of having preeclampsia.
Hopefully everything with you and Jaxson are fine! I know you don't want to have him too early, but if it's better for you and him, then it's what you have to do. I know you've talked about the stress you've had at work, dealing with the no maternity leave thing ...like ashiepooh said, hopefully Jaxson's dad can help you out when you do have to leave work.
*hugs* If you need to vent/rant/talk more, just send me a message!
I don't know about the protein in the urine, but if you happen to have the guy early, they probably wait till 32 weeks. You know both my kids were early, and their perfectly fine and healthy. They would give you a shot to speed up lung development to help him out. And even though he'd be in the nursery, it's the make sure he is doing what all he needs to be doing! My son was 5 weeks early, and I had to have the shot (they say they hand them out left and right with boys because their lungs develop a little slower) and by 6 months he was 24 flipping lbs! You'd never know he was early! By a year he was 36 lbs!! And he isn't fat! He is tall and a mofo! LOL
I hope everything turns out fine, and I hope his father will decide to help you out more if you have to get taken out of work! I am really sorry this is happening, but I think everything will be fine! Keep us posted though!
I have gone in twice and have had protein in my urine....and then the last time I did not.
It can also be caused by eating something sweet/or too much sweets in that day.
Every woman's body is different but they did tell me that what you eat can affect the levels in your urine.
I wish you the best of luck Laura and lets just hope that the protein goes away and that Jaxson stays in there as long as he possibly can (of course, not overdue!)
steph
