Could I be pregnant? Is it too early to test?

I'm sorry this is so long, I tired making it as short as possible! Please bare with me.

Me and my boyfriend, of 2 years the end of the month, had sex durring my time of ovulation. However last night we had sex and I had bleeding almost immediately after! We did use a condom but not the eintire time, only at the end so he didn't fully ejaculate inside of me, but obviously there was pre-***. I was supposed to start my period on the 21st, it's now the 23rd, and my periods are usually quite heavy, this bleeding was abormal even for me. It abrubtly started and was not heavy or even moderate...more like lightly flowing red blood, it wasn't painful at all, just there. I was wondering if this was implantation bleeding or something else entirely. It was mostly suprising to us because it started IMMEDIATELY after having sex.
It has only lasted one day and about two days of congealed blood after that, now it's COMPLETELY gone.
It was NOTHING like my period, usually my period starts off extremely heavy and tapers off. This is definately not my period. It showed ver very little on the mini-pad I was wearing. It only lasted about a day and than it was an EXTREMELY small smount of conceagled blood on the tissue when I wipe.

And we did have sex while I was ovulating about 5 days proor to this. So Im' not sure if it was from the sex or not, only the sex we had wasn't rough or anything...actually it was the way we usually do it and there really wasn't any way of it being from that.

And I do know that a small amount of blood is completely normal after sex, and I do bleed a little sometimes. But this is unlike anythng I've ever had before. It was honestly kind of scary, obvously, but now I'm just plain confused.

I'm already 3 days late and I took and HPT yesterday but it came out negitive, but I don't know if it's too soon to test or not. I've been very very tired, nautious and have been having these weird "cramp-like" sensations in my lower abdomen and legs and have been craving green olives.

Thank you all for taking the time to respond and help me out the best you can
If anybody had experienced this before or has any clue as to what it might be please let me know, I'm extremely confused!
Thank You in advance.

So, I went to the free clinic and had an HPT done and it came out BFN there too! I'm so confused, and I still haven't started yet. I REALLY wish I had health insurance right now, heh. I could just go and get this all sorted out. I don't even know what to think anymore.

If you're late a HPT would be accurate by now. However, some women do not get a positive until about a week after their period was due. HPT measures the levels of HCG in your system and if your levels are still low, then the test won't measure it.

Give it a couple more days. Stressing about this can also make your period late if you are not pregnant.

Like I said though, the sex wasn't rough at all. I know It's not from that, an STD is HIGHLY unlikely, but I will definately get it checked out. Thanks for the advice.

You should have an accurate HPT by now if you were pregnant.....Like spdae22 said, bleeding after sex is not 'normal'..some experience it from time to time  but I wouldn't say that's normal.......Implantation usually takes place from 6-10 after ovulation (I'm pretty sure on that range...but give or take a day)....but if AF was due and a BFN, I would see how you feel over the next few days and make an Dr.'s appt.

A HPT will not be accurate until about 2 weeks after possible conception.

BTW: bleeding after sex is not normal.  Its a possibility if the sex is very rough but if that is not the case, the bleeding could signify more significant problems such as an STD.
