34 weeks

I am 34+2 with my little girl. I had a sonogram yesterday and they told me that she weighs 5lbs 8oz! My doctor told me I will most likely have to have a c-section due to her size because the mormal weight is around 4lbs.  He also told me that her head measures at 36 weeks. He wants me to try to make it to 39 weeks. But he is worried that she will be too big for me to deliver naturally. Has anyone else had or have this problem?? I don't want to have a c-section.  :/

Yea he is worried because I am really small. My mom had the same doctor to deliver me. And she had to have a c-section due to me being so big. He has been worried since I was 4 months because she was already head down and she was already in the birth canal.

My baby was measuring 5 lbs 9 oz at my 34 week scan. I was actually admitted to the hospital for being 4cm and 75% he wants to take me early too because he's been worried all along that my pelvis is small so he wants to take him at 37 or 38 :) I go tomorrow to talk with him about 37 weeks :)

Below is a weight chart on Baby Center. Now I know everyone is different but I found this website to be interesting.

My friend naturally delivered a 10 pound 7 ounce baby, and she's a small girl, so it can be done!

The weight could be off and there are women who deliver 9-10 pound babies vaginally so I don't see why your doctor would be wanting to give you a csection just cause your baby might be measuring a little big

Thats strange at my scan at 31 weeks baby was measuring at 3 pounds 8.. dont understand how normal weight would be that my doctors said my babys on right line for weight and everythings fine.. weird. I was told I could have natural. Soooo god knows maybe its just ur doctor.. also the weight they give you can be wrong honestly x
