35 week apointment...

So as of 35 weeks im at a total weight gain of 20.6 pounds. That is a little more then i wanted to gain this pregnancy but im also swelled. Baby girl sounded so perfect on doppler. Now my normal doctor was not in so i saw his partner, who was very nice. He was a little shocked when measuring my tummy as it was 38cm. Im guessing this means i measured 38 weeks? He asked if im having any pains or contractions, which i am everyday but nothing major. Im not dialated but told cervix is coming down and soft. He could not feel her head so guessing she is still breech. I will also be going every week now till delivery.

Your baby's weight sounds good. At 31 weeks most babies average at about 3 pounds 6 ounces, so she's right on track. Sounds like everything is going good. :)

Oh i hope my weight gain slows. I dont want to go over 25lbs gained total. Im also sure being on bed rest does not help me in not gaining so much. I did have a few contractions last night after walking around walmart, so it maybe soon.

You are getting to the point where your weight gain will slow down ....  or it should..  I gained around 24 lbs in total in my pregnancy..  I was gaining 2 lbs per week from week 34 until week 37.. Then wehn I started my weekly OB appointments, from week 37 until deliversity, I weighed the same thing every week.. leaving me at my 24 lbs weight gain...

plus you are also retaining more water right now as you can tell by the swelling so 4lbs may feel liek alot but some of it is water weight.

I was lucky I didn't have gestational diabetes, but I've heard that it can be terrible.

Good luck to you

As long as he's supportive, that's all that matters.

When I was pregnant and fat, my DF said I was still beautiful and didn't matter how big I got

Im thinking she is going to be a big baby as well. Since i started this pregnancy over weight my doctor said goal is no more then 15 lb weight gain. Well its obvious ive passed that and 4 lb have been in the last 2 weeks. Although the last 2 weeks is when ive swelled as well. My df is so sweet as he keeps telling me dont worry your pregnant and can loose it later.

She could be a big baby

I also gained more then I would have liked in my pregnancy 6 years ago. I gained 30 lbs. And when you're short like me, it shows! I weigh more now then I did then (booo!). But at the time I weighed 115 lbs, and I'm 5'0 tall

Im not sure what my measurments have been before yesterdays. All i know is each time doctor tells me im measuring big and will be having a big baby. At 31 weeks by ultrasound she was estimated at 3lb 12oz!

YAY! So happy for you.

Yes I do believe that means you measured at 38 weeks, but I wouldn't worry about that.

Sounds like you're going to get to see your baby girl in a few weeks

Congrats :)
