37 weeks today (in labor and delivery)

Currently at labor and delivery and having strong contractions and 1cm dilated. Was given a shot to stop contractions. Does This show usually help. How long does it take to dialate? That is the only way they will keep me.

They did the same to me with my first born an once they got my contractions under control they sent me home an I ended up having to be induced because I would progress any.

Usually at 37 weeks they let you progress. Why are they stopping your contractions.? Good luck wishing you a safe delivery.
