Congratulations!! This is exciting! So, prenatal vitamins are a good idea. You can have them prescribed by your doctor. Even if they don't see you yet (my ob/gyn does not see ladies who are expecting until they are at 8 to 9 weeks along)-- they can call that in. then if you have insurance, it is paid for through that and you just pay the copay. Otherwise, you can pick them up over the counter. Make sure they have a good dose of folic acid. Yes, it's great to exercise and stay fit during pregnancy plus this helps with weight gain, stress relief, and making the time go faster. so, go for walks absolutely. Eat healthy making each meal count. so, get lots of lean protein, vegetables, fruits, some grains. Throw in some dairy. You really don't have to eat more. I was definitely more hungry though during pregnancy so ate more--- so your body kind of makes you do this. Get rest too. But most of all, be happy. Again, congrats hon!
