39weeks....is this labor???

I've been up all night having contractions, they started off as menstrual like cramps but are currently getting more painful. I lost my mucous plus this morning. I also think my water may have broken because after intercourse with my husband, there was a yellow trickle of fluid but I didn't feel like I was peeing. I also had a sudden urge to pack the hospital bad and clean her crib! I know labor can be false, how can I know if this us the real thing?!?

If they are 5min apart lasting 1min each and been over 1 hour then you should head for the hospital. Call your doctor's office if you're not sure.

I timed the contractions and they seem to be around 40-50 seconds long and 5-6 minutes apart, I think this may be out! Thanks for everything :D hopefully ill be holding my little girl soon.

It's possible you are leaking fluid...keep your eye on things and pay attention to the cramps. Is it constant or can you time them? Mucus plug is a good sign but not always a sign that it'll be right away. I lost mine at exactly 40 weeks and more and more through the week and my water didn't break until 41 weeks on the dot.
