3D scan

im havin a 3d scan done tomorro when ill be 15+2 will they be able to tell me the sex?

Probably not. Maybe you should wait for the 3d one until you are at least 20 weeks.

I would agree with Faye...this early, most likely the genitals will be too small to pick up on 3D....we saw my son's genitals at 15wks but it was on regular ultrasound, and a 3d one is both better and worse at picking up details. I would schedule for about 23wks, I understand that's the perfect time period for 3D.

The ultrasound tech told me at 15 weeks its easier to tell if its a boy. If could still be a boy and you not see anything though.

I have a 3d scan on Thursday but I will be 29 weeks then.  They say the best time to get one is 28-32 weeks.  Your better off getting a regular 2d u/s and waiting for the 3d until later on in your pregnancy, especially if you are paying for this with your own money for your own enjoyment, like I am doing.

That's tricky, since a boy's testicles don't descend until later on, and sometimes the penis can be "hiding" too.

i had the 3d scan which showed a boy.
when i had my 20 week scan i got the sonographer to confirm sex
and still a boy :)

I had a 2D scan at 15 weeks and they could tell plain as day it was a boy! I have had several 2D since all confirming the same thing and now a #D one and he is a boy. If it is a newer machine you can see the sex if the baby lets you with a regular one. I would say yes for sure:)

i dont really know about a 3d scan, but at 15 weeks 6 days i think it was the ultrasound tech told us she thought we were having a girl. she told us not to go out and buy anything pink or hold it against her if she was wrong..but she ended up being right! you never know.

I found out at 13w4d that I was having a boy. Went back at 17w3d. Still a boy..

the earliest they can detect sex is at 13w if they're lucky. They dont like telling until 16+weeks though as they're more formed.
