Spanx Crisis

I have what I realize seems like a super silly question, but it has me concerned. I am 20 weeks pregnant. Last night, while removing a pair of tight fitting undergarments (Spanx), they became rolled and very tight right around the area where my baby is. Without thinking, I pulled hard on the back to remove them and it put a great deal of pressure on my abdomen. I gasped in pain because it felt funny and somewhat painful. I am worried sick that I've hurt the baby as I haven't felt him move much at all today. Of course, I have only been feeling tiny flutters from time to time as it is. I had an ultrasound yesterday before this happened, and baby looked fine. As I said, I know this is a silly question, but I need some peace of mind. Can an incident of very firm pressure/pushing on the abdomen harm my baby?

You probably shouldn't wear form fitting spanx while prego. It's too constricting on your growing belly and could be harmful. You're probably fine from the lil incident, but don't repeat it. things like spanx/corsets/girdles are not good while prego.

Baby should be fine. I have the doctors press down firmly on my stomach at points because apparentlnits hard to find the top of my uterus. I also go to a teaching hospital so I have residents trying to find where baby is located by pushing down.
