okay so iam 18 days late ive had negative test for a week now till yesterday i did one last night it turned out negative and when u check on it thismorning is positive

What type of test? Either way I would retake it but with this pregnancy I took a test on an 88 cent one from Wal-Mart and after a min or 2 I only saw one line so I put it back in the box and left it under the cabinet until I used the other one. Well the next morning I took the 2nd test, same brand and it only had one line after a couple min. I left it there while I went to get my daughter dressed and about 20 min later I looked and there was 2 lines but one was very faint. So out of curiosity I took the 1st test out and looked it it had the same thing. 2 lines but one was really light. That afternoon I went and bought a first response and it had 2 very distinct lines. All urine tests test for hcg but some test for a lower level than others so it's possible your still just early and your levels aren't high enough to get a bold positive on the test your using. Try getting a kind that says "find out 6 days sooner" or something like that because they detect lower hcg levels and test again in the morning. Good luck!

Sometimes it wont show up for a couple weeks yet depending on the test. I took my tests a week apart and the first was negative, second was positive. But, id go to the dr. You could be screwing up the test in some way (which is really easy to do with at home tests)

Its more accurate if you take it in the morning with your first urine of the day. I took one at night and you could tell it was positive but they were a little faint.. I took another in the morning and there was no question that it was positive

At times the second line can be very very light. But its still there you can kind of see it. This happened to me. Some came out with one line but then the little light line came up. Just Check closely (:

It's inaccurate after like 10 mins. You can't go by what it says hours later. Use your first mornings urine.

I don't know what time it is there.. but you should take them first thing in the morning after you have held your pee for the night. You make more hormones in the morning and your urine is concentrated

Could be you didn't wait.long enough to read it could be over time the ink may have ran. When  in doubt go see a doctor I had a friend who thought she was pregnant kept taking test that came back -. Finally went into see what was wrong after a few months and she was 4 months pregnant and still her test came back negative

Id retest.the results aren't accurate after so many minutes. Most tests your only supposed to read them for up to 10 or 15 minutes.thats how mine were anyways
