6 weeks pregnant and first pregnancy

Hi! I'm turning 24 on Saturday and just found out last Thursday that I'm pregnant. The dad and I have only been together for 3 months. We are both very scared. I definitely didn't plan for this for at least another few years. I'm still in school studying psychology. I always imagined that the first time I had a positive pregnancy test, I'd be out of college and married and overcome with joy. This wasn't the case. I wasn't happy or excited at all. All I could think of was, what am I going to do now? Every day, I get a little more excited but I'm still so terrified. I'm so in love with my baby's dad and he was crying tonight because he knows I'm not as excited as he is. I'm just so shocked and scared. There are so many women who want nothing more in this world than to carry and give birth to a child but cant conceive. I hate that I'm given this incredible gift and I'm not excited like I should be. Does this make me a horrible person? Will I get more excited as the pregnancy goes along? Please help!

I can tell by the sincerity in this post that you do care, you're just a little afraid which is fine!  I am also studying Psychology in college and I was expecting to graduate next fall until I got the news I was pregnant.  I was completely terrified and wasn't sure what to do,  but the fear went away with time.  I'm 19 weeks now and still a little nervous but I'm fitm believer that everything happens for a reason and god won't put more on you than you can handle. You are very blessed, good luck to you and tge decisions you make!
