brown spotting at 8weeks.

I woke this morning and saw a dry brown spot in my panty after which there was a brown discharge too. After that when i went to pee there was a brown thread like too after washing. Saw this thread thrice at times i pee.
I went to my dr and there was a heartbeat seen through ultrasound.
Is it normal to spot brown in early pregnancy as 8weeks -9weeks? I had very little back pain and to mention i had the feeling in my vagina like the opening is open and i might bleed. Same kind of feeling we get every month in menstruation. Plz advice. Thanks in advice

With my first pregnancy I had brown spotting and I miscarried so no not all the time is it normal like a lot of women will state did they check to see if your cervix is closed? Pretty much all you can do is bed and pelvic rest

Ya i already went to the dr this afternoon itself after the prob. There was a heartbeat. Dr suggested for 3days complete bed rest. I have a 20month toddler. Though i try to rest as much as i can but inbetween have to make him eat etc.
