This might sound stupid... but how is a shower suppost to run. Like , is there suppost to be anything special that happens.. or a certain order of something. ?

however you want to do it. no games at my baby shower because my mom was throwing it and didn't think anybody would want to. started with food and cake and then gifts, a group picture, and a big thank you.

I threw showers for both my sisters and did them differently because they were in different situations. my older sister had a child and was a single mother and didn't want anything big. it was just a few family members and her closest friends. we had basically appetizers and cake, she opened presents, had a door prize give away and that was it.
my little sister had a lot of people present. we did it in the afternoon, so no meal. just cake, fruit, and fondue. everyone ate, she opened gifts, and instead of games everyone started scrapbooking baby's photo album. everybody got to write a note to baby on the pages they completed. I supplied the album and materials, had a list of pages to make, and people signed up for as many pages as they'd like or could make their own page idea. it was so much fun! people were able to leave as they had to, but the family stayed a couple hours later because they were having so much fun putting it together!
