Well my baby be affected by me smoking cigarettes. I just found out I'm pregnant not too many days ago and I'm seriously trying to quit asap. Is it too late to save my baby?

Its def not too late! That's awesome that you're trying to quit! Smoking does actually effect the baby. It restricts blood flow to the placenta, so the baby doesn't get as many nutrients as it would otherwise. Its a major risk factor for premature birth and low birth weight. Like other moms have said on here, it doesn't always cause problems, but it does greatly increase your risk. Every little bit you cut back benefits your baby! Maybe try to find a support group or program? Good luck, and congrats!

Just try to quit or at least cut back but don't stress/worry about it too much. Take your vitamins & take it day by day. Good luck!

I'm 29Weeks And I Smoke About Six A Day. Doctor Said I'm Healthy And So Is Little Bear. Don't Just Go Cold Turkey It'll Send Baby Into Shock. The Further You Get They Start Tasting Bleh So It'll Be Easy To Cut Down. Congrats Mamas :)

Its not too late. You just have to quit then you'll be fine. Most of us dont know we are pregnant while smoking or drinking. I used to drink then I found out I was 9weeks pregnant so I stopped. Now, I'll be 36 weeks with a big healthy boy!

It's never too late.  Long as you quit soon you should be fine. Plenty of women were smoking drinking doing recreational drugs before finding out they were pregnant,  & stopped. & no affects to baby,  healthy.  Me being one of them. I just stopped when I found out

Nooo not at all. That's great that your trying to quit tho! Honestly, im 36 weeks & still smoking. Your baby is fine. Even cutting back is good. Its better to stop for yu and your baby. But im just sayin, i know plenty of women who smoked their whole pregnancies whose babies were perfectly fine. And plenty of women who quit smoking or never did, whos babies were born premature or had breathing problems. Yu never really know. So dont worry, however if yu wanna quit. That is awesome(: congratulations dear

And please do NOT use the vapor cigs. She said those are worse than regular cigs. She told me shed rather i smoke 6 packs a day than one hit of a vapor.

Ill be 11 wks on friday and i havent quit yet either. Im trying. The only thing to really be concerned with is low birth weight. It can cause other problems but its not a really high risk. This is all from my dr. She also said wheen yourself. Do not stop cold turkey bc it will stress the baby out alot and cause more problems
