It worked for me and a lot of doctors recomend it. a lot of babies poop in the womb naking them sick but there is no scientific prove castor oil causes it, it happens either way. You must be full term and must take the directed amount. It stimulates your bowels but doesn't make the baby poop. I took one tablespoon late at night with my second child and woke up with contractions. she was born that day with no problems naturally and no i didn't get diarrhea . To each their own opinion that is just my experience .
I took castor oil with my son and I never had diarrhea I took it at 8 p.m. I had my son at 11 p.m. he never had a bowel movement in me and no complications or anything. and I'm now 28 weeks my Fifth Pregnancy this will be my 6th child. it hasn't failed me yet and I will be taking it with this one also. my doctor told me the only thing that it will do is make you go into labor or make you have a bowel movement. I love Castrol oil...
I've decided not to take it as I'm loosing my mucus plug at the moment so something is happening
i was contemplating this aswel but as it risks my baby getting ill it isn't worth it i know its hard trust me i have pgp and massively swollen legs and feet im now overdue and still won't try caster oil just incase hang in there a little longer xx
i know some women poop themselves when pushing, but diarrhea when pushing seems alot worse to me. lol. ive heard it works if your body is ready, and doesnt if your not ready
I used it when I was pregnant with ny daughter and it worked and I didn't poop on my self or anything during delivery and my baby was also born healthy
Castor oil makes you have diarrhea yes but I haven't heard of anyone just ******** themself . And during labor poop during labor is normal from pushing down hard
I chose castor oil at 39 weeks . All it did for me was stomach cramping nothing timeable and nothing that helped my labor move any quicker . And made me go to the bathroom . My baby passed some meconium while birth but they couldn't say it was from that or just the stress of my contractions and him being 41 weeks . Its up to you but your body and baby has to be ready really
Even if I was overdue I wouldn't take it lol I'd rather be induced than be ******** all over myself
You might poop yourself in delivery. I heard it doesnt work just gives you diarrhea.
They really don't know the actual weight anyway the day they induced me they gave me a sono with. My son and said he would weigh 8 1/2 pounds and the next day I had him he weighed 7 lbs 3 oz. Then with my daughter they said she would weigh 7 to 8 pounds and she only weighed 6
I did the oil with my daughter ut actually made her very sick she ended up pooping inside of me and ingesting some of it. doctor told me it was because of the castor oil.
Even worse then having diarea yourelf is it can cause baby to have its first bowel movement before labor, which is really dangerous. I wouldnt risk it personally! And 7 lb 7 oz really isnt that big, even if its acurate (which most of the time its not). I would just give your body a few more days to do its thing naturally. The end of pregnancy *****, but you wamt that baby coming out healthy!
Yeah it's meant to clean you out before labour like your body does
I hear that it makes you poop a lot
I dunno why they told me its bigger then. Make me worry for nothing!
Not sure on the castor oil thing, if it does make you go into labour, last thing you want is to have diarrhoea all over the bed constantly when your baby is coming x
That's standard for a baby at that far on in pregancy, it's not "bigger than normal" My son came at 9lbs and thats still normal x
Hmmm. I'm not sure on how much it was.
The doctors said its bigger than normal. How much did they take?
It's actually normal size. But all the oil did for my sister and mom was give bad diarrhea.
