A little concerned

I had an emergency c-section on 22nd and everything has been healing well so far. Sorry this may be tmi, but my bleeding started settling and went slightly watery, but then started to look a rusty brown so i called midwives to check if normal and they said it was. So no problems, today i went to the bathroom and passed a deep blood red jelly substance (not discharge) so i called mudwife again like they told me to if i passed anything. Turns out it waa likely a blood clot, possibly a one iff but also a sign of infection, so im to watch for more and see if i get an unpleasant smell. I dunno what kind if smell to look out for.
Has anyone had an infection before, how long did it take to clear up when put on antibiotics?

Well i went to my dr and he prescribed me some antibiotics. He said the infection seems mild which is good and the course only lasts 5 days

Im not sure if that would be anything like when i had my miscarriage and had to have surgery for that. but the smell was not anything to miss. it was horrible. i had a bad infection though and the medicine they put me on made me very sick. the smell i had started out as a fishy smell like if you have ever been around a bathroom with older feminine waste products left in the trash. it was horrible, but it got worse. Mine got bad fast though i had went to bed without any smell and woke up horrified :( like i said, i dont know if that woukd be the same type of smell or not? I just know it was from an infection after surgery
