Thanks Clysta!
I'll have to see what I can find. Thanks alot for the answers guys. I'm going to do some research and see what i can find and see what I can find locally since theres not alot of shopping options here.
Here's a list of what's in them.
Vitamin A (as retinyl palmitate) 4000 IU 50%
Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 30 mg 50%
Vitamin D (as cholecalciferol) 400 IU 100%
Vitamin E (as d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate) 15 IU 50%
Niacin (B3) (as inositol niacinate) 20 mg 100%
Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCl) 2.5 mg 100%
Folate,Folic Acid,Folacin 800 mcg 100%
Vitamin B12 (as cyanocobalamin) 8 mcg 100%
Iron 0 mg 0%
Zinc (as zinc chelate) 3.8 mg 25%
You would have to probably take an Iron Supplement on top of the VitaFusions because they have no Iron and you wouldn't want to go deficient. I made that mistake with my last prenatals and got sick because of it.
Wow guys thanks for the responses!
yes i've tried taking them at night and taking them after dinner. After dinner works well but only if i'm not feeling very nauseous and eat a relatively big meal. I'll have to try the chewable ones, because I can't stand the taste of the flinstone ones, i remember hating them when i was little and then again when my brothers were little. they taste chalky to me. Do the VitaFusions have folic acid and everything in them? I rather only have to take one thing instead of having to take a pill for other stuff on top of it.
Has anyone ever heard of Bloom'ens prenatals? my father (who is a nurse) sent them to me but i looked up how much folic acid they suggest during pregnancy and i would have to eat 3 of them a day (they taste good but the hardly have anything in them) all they have is dolic acid(a third of suggested amount) vitamin D and DHA. i thought that was a little wierd.
I got the VitaFusion Gummy Prenatals!! They are amazing and taste yummy too! They are the first and only prenatals that I have been able to hold down!! They are $11.99 at Target!!
I took Flintstones completes as well. They were the only thing that didn't make me vomit! =) Good luck!
flinstones complete chewables...they were the only ones that worked for me
I've changed tons of prenatals because the prescription ones made me sick and so did dozens of others. I take Spring Valley prenatals which you can just take with a small meal. (I can't eat much food either so it works well) My midwife also told me that I could take the Flintstone Complete chewable vitamins if I still couldn't stomach other kinds. (But I hate taking anything chewable so I opted for an actual pill)
flintstones...the kind you can chew when you're a kid. they work the same (although you will need an additional source of folic acid) and they shouldn't upset your stomach.
Are you taking them at night? If not, try taking them after dinner or right before bed. I have to take mine at night to avoid feeling sick.
