Abnormal Glucose Test
So I guess I failed the 1hr test and now I have to do the 3hr test. I was just wondering what happens if I fail that? The nurse didn't really say much, she didn't want to "worry" me but now Im freaking out a little bit!
So possibly more dr visits, diet an blood sugar test. Ive had a great pregnancy so I guess I should've expected a bump in the road somewhere lol thanks ladies! An does anyone know if they'll do an u/s to see how big she is? Im nervous for her to end up 10lb or something
Some will consult with a counselor to work on your diet and you'll have to check your blood sugar about 4 times a day. If it doesn't get controlled, some docs put you on meds.
You will meet with a nutritionist and probably be monitored more often. My friend is due next month and failed both. The biggest thing is she has to really watch her diet.
If you fail, you will have to watch what you eat, and probably take your blood sugar. If it's still high the doctor will prescribe you with something to take for it.
