8 week compared to 12 week u/s

Hi ladies,

I have a question for all you that are further along. I just my had my first u/s at 8w3d. Everything looked great, got to see the little heart beating away. But you really couldn't see much of the baby, just kinda a fuzzy circle. Now my friend at work and his wife are also expecting, she is about 12 weeks. Well he showed me the picture of her u/s the next day, and it was so much more detailed! You could see the arms and feet moving around and everything.

Is that normal? Is there really that much of a difference in just those few weeks?

A lot happens in 4 weeks,(well something is happening every week lol) sign up for babycenter. c o m, they show you how each week changes in the babies life, it will show you a picture of the baby and what the baby looks like inside the belly.  I thought it was so awsome when i was using it, and it will tell you week by week how the baby is growing, actually you dont even have to sign up for up, you can log on to website and just check it out.

It is completely normal. There is a BIG difference b/t an 8 wk u/s and havin an u/s @ 12 wks. This is my 4th pregnancy. I had an u/s @ 8 wks 4 days & u couldn't distinguish a single body part. Then, I had another @ exactly 13 wks & u could see everything! So, sounds to me like your baby is fine especially since there is a heartbeat!! Congrats and good luck!!
