Dental work is expensive, they'll only do a cleaning and then let you know what you need further done... Cleanings are painless and easy (:

I wasnt sent to the dentist I had to go for a bad tooth ache. I had to get an emergency root canal because the pain was unbearable, at the time I was 17 weeks pregnant.  If you don't have no major problem then just wait. I had an infection and nothing would relieve the pain, not even antibiotics, they had to do a root canal. If it's like my case then dentist has get a medical release  wavier from your OB/GYN since or if you're pregnant.

Im a dental assistant and if you are pregnant than there is nothing the dentist can do. The only thing they can do is take X rays, examine your mouth and diagnose what you need but other than that they would have to wait until after the baby is born to do anything to you.
