I'm sorry to hear you are depressed.  Hormones sure can do a number on us.  Couple that with the stress of impending change and that while pregnancy is wonderful, it means that if things aren't great in our life, it's about to get a lot harder.  But yes, pregnancy hormones can cause us to feel depressed and it is important to talk to your doctor about it.  They can help you now as well as monitor this throughout your pregnancy and especially after the baby is born when post partum can make this joyful time very difficult.  Little things you can do is to exercise.  Even just a brisk walk.  Exercise has a chemical reaction in the brain and they have documented how it can improve mood and decrease stress.  You can find someone to talk to either formally with a counselor or informally with a trusted friend.  Keep a journal and look for triggers to the mood.  If things are stressing you and you are worried, put pen to paper with ideas to help that situation.  That in itself can make us feel like we have some power over our lives and helps.  Anyway, I do hope you feel better.  Talk to your doctor.  Hugs

It's so important to talk to your doctor about how you are feeling- it's very common to feel down due to all the hormones, but don't hesitate to talk to someone!
