I'm sorry for your loss, if you dont want a d&c you could wait it out and try to miscarry naturally, although they generally only like to give you two weeks to do so
They can give you a pill to help everything come out but I wouldn't recommend it because threw my personal experience it was horrible and painful
I am a type 1 diabetic as well and had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy at fifteen weeks. They actually gave me medication to open my cervix in the hospital. I went through the labor pains and I sneezed it out. I didnt have to dilate all the way though. I still endef up going for a d&c because the placenta kept breaking into pieces...sorry for your loss. There is no loss like the loss of a child.
I know women can have abortions in the form of 'the pill' up to 9 wks. This is an at home procedure so in the very least, I'd inquire about that. At 7 weeks, the fetus wouldn't have been very big, so although uncomfortable as it causes your uterus to contract, I think it'd be a lot less abrasive than a c & d. I'm sorry for your loss hun... My best friend is a type 1 diabetic and recently, against all recommendations, just delivered healthy baby number 3!! The pregnancies have taken her to the brink of kidney failures but more than anything, she wanted those babies. Just know its possible and will be in your bodies own time. Sorry for your loss <3
