Am I Pregnant? I'm so freaking out right now.

The last day of my period was on the 12th of January.  I just got off birth control after that period, and when my husband and I had sex this past monday, he got a little too excited if you catch my drift.  I took the day after pill the next day, but he was stupid and did the same thing on Tuesday night...  I'm only 18... I'm kinda of scared...

Now, it's the 30th, 3 days after ovulation, and now  I have this really light brown blood...it's extremely light flow, basically spotting...just started today...I don't know what to do...

Oh I see - money issues. Isn't that always the case, LOL?!

Well I think your chances would be pretty slim. You wouldn't experience symptoms until at least 7 days post ovulation and even then it would be similar to PMS (bloating, moodiness). The major symptoms that many women experience like nausea and vomiting don't typically start up until after she knows she is pregnant.

I didn't notice symptoms before I found out I was pregnant with my first except my pants were tighter (bloating). I thought I was gaining weight because I was the new cook at a cafe and had to taste test everything I made.

With my second daughter I had extreme fatigue before I took a test. I could barely keep my eyes open some days!

And with my third daughter and this new pregnancy I didn't really have symptoms at all. Just took tests on a whim and they came up positive. This new pregnancy (I'm about 6 weeks) I just feel crampy and bloated. Yesterday was the first day I felt a little nauseated.

The reason I stopped taking it was a money issue.  I'm supposed to get back on it within the next week because my insurance will start covering it.

If it happens, I know i'll be able to handle it...i mean we were both in kind of a drunken stupor i'm not going to lie...it was an accident...

The other thing is though,  I just realized  I stopped bleeding...I jus  t checked and there was nothing...  I'm scared because this is all new to me, and I'm all on my own in a different state than my whole family...my husband is in the Navy...it's just freaking me out a little bit...idk.

Thank you for answering though... I appreciate it so much...

If you don't mind, what kind of symptoms did you have that let you know you were pregnant?

Morning after pill is a high dose of hormones. It will cause your body to do some crazy things, like bleed randomly. It is also not 100% effective at preventing pregnancy and is not meant to be taken regularly.

I was 19 when I got pregnant with my first daughter (was 20 by the time she was born) and everything ended up alright. No matter what happens I'm sure you both will be just fine.

Okay so you said you don't know what to do. Well for starters you'll want to take a pregnancy test about 2 weeks after the unprotected sex. First Response is very sensitive and the best test, in my opinion, on the market. So take one of those in about 2 weeks.

You may find yourself bleeding randomly (spotting to heavy flow). Still take the pregnancy test just to be sure. If negative take the extra test in the box several days after just to be sure.

I'm curious- if you don't want to get pregnant why did you stop birth control? If you don't want to get pregnant, and you probably already realize this, find another method or you'll find yourselves painting a nursery, LOL!
