Chances of getting pregnant on the pill

I have been on birth control for 3 years.  I am very good about taking them everyday at the same time.  More recently, I have noticed that my periods have become extremely light and sometimes they won't even come.  I asked my gyno and she explained that the longer a woman is on birth control, the less "blood" she will tend to bleed (I'm sure her answer had some more scientific wording but that's what I took from it).

The other day, my boyfriend ejaculated inside of me and I'm wondering what my chances of pregnancy are considering I have been on the pill for a long time and that I barely bleed anymore. Do those factors affect my chances? Bad or good?

How much or little you bleed won't change your chances of pregnancy. Your chances are very very slim like less than 1 percent if that of pregnancy. Just keep taking it every day at the same time and you should be fine :)

As long as you are taking it as directed, it is about 98 or 99% effective no matter how long you have been on it.  I experienced the same thing with my periods, but not until I stopped taking it after being on it for 13 years.  It then took me about 7 months to become pregnant and about 3 years after that pregnancy for my period to return to a normal flow.
