Drinking a large amount of green tea may prevent you from absorbing folic acid properly. Folic acid is an important nutrient, particularly during the first 12 weeks of your pregnancy. As long as Ur not drinking a gallon a day Ur fine
Green tea is fine and has less caffeine in it the coffee or sodas. Just try to stay away for teas that say herbal teas or for colds. They are different tea blends and might have different effects.
It's the caffeine in the green tea that's the problem. Limit yourself to one or two servings of caffeine a day and youll be fine. I didn't know about the limit when I was in my first trimester and I drank like 6 dr peppers a day lol baby and I are fine though, I still have a coke or coffee everyday but I try to stick to one.
Decaf coffee is still good!!
Im not a big soda drinker, i used to drink just some diet soda ever so often, but since about 9 weeks i have craved nothing but coke and dr pepper and baby is fine.
You are allowed up to 200-300mg of caffeine a day so don't worry to much about ur coffee I have a cup in the mornings with my headache pills to give um a kick start
I have become addicted to coke and my baby is perfectly healthy so don't fret
Ok great thank you both so much xx
I've never heard green tea was bad. Its normally decafinnated, so its better than coffee. I think you're ok hun. :)
a lot of women drink alcohol so much during first trimester and thats much worse then coffee. and some women swear there friends that are pregnant drink nothing but soda the whole pregnancy. i think you're fine.
