Am I having a miscarriage

On November 7th I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. It was a clear blue and it said 2-3 weeks. I saw my general physician on the 14th who based of my last menstrual put me at 4 weeks that day. I finally got to see my ob today who said I should be 9 weeks, when we did the ultrasound I appeared to 5 weeks. I started lightly bleeding and cramping two days ago, today being day 3. The doctor said unless the bleeding picks up or if our next ultra sound shows no growth I should be fine. It's too early too see a heart beat. And I'm just struggling with the fact that I'm 5 weeks pregnant (with twins) when. I took the test 5 weeks ago. Are the first two week of "pregnancy" technically your period and then the week after that you ovulate. I'm worried. I want both babies. I don't want false hope. I want it straight.

Well honestly I am a first time mommy and I know exactly whats running through your head. I took a clearblue back when I was 1-2 weeks and went to an ib who told me I might be 2-3 and when I got my first ultrasound at the pregnancy center they say it was too early to tell so they estimated that I was 3 weeks. 2 weeks later I went back and saw a little dot which was the baby and at 12 weeks I was bleeding like crazy for about 3 days on and off so I thought I was having a miscarriage, I am now 23 weeks and 6 days with a beautiful and healthy baby boy.

My doctors told me the same thing your doctors told you and I was told it happens to most moms cause their period was probably in the mist of coming and it paused for the baby so you have extra blood in you and its finally being released. Dont stress momma, you'll be fine as long as you relax and keep your legs elevated. I had bad cramps and bleeding so I know your fear and pain. <3 I'll keep you in my prayers. :-)

In my opinion any bleeding is bad with my first pregnancy I had brown spotting and I ended up miscarring so going by the clear blue test you should have been 4 to 6 weeks when you took it your suppose to add 2 weeks to what it says when do you go back for another ultrasound?

I ovulated 4 days before my period was expected to come and my periods are normal... When I went in for a ultrasound at 7 weeks and 5 days the ultrasound showed 6 weeks and 2 days. It did have a heartbeat but after 3 miscarriages I wasn't expecting it to hold on. . .I got another ultrasound at 9 weeks and everything seemed fine even thou I was really behind. I'm gonna be 36 weeks on Wednesday....

The bleeding as long as it doesn't last and stays red ... I wouldn't worry. If it does continue I'd go to the hospital. Lay with your legs elevated....

If the blood is brown, it's old blood and could just be some spotting which I had around 6-7 weeks, before I knew I was pregnant. I'm now 19 weeks with a healthy boy! Hope all goes well!
