HCG levels slowly rising

HELP? Im 5 weeks pregnant hcg levels are slowly rising. They tested at 313 on 6/3 and 277 on 5/31. Im having spotting for past 3 days . Had ulterasound on 6/4 and just gestational sac was found. Anyone have any advice as to whats going on? thanks

Thought i would share my last pregnant, was a rollercoaster and very emotional here is what happened with my hcg levels last year on my second pregnancy.

3.12.10 110
5.12.10 373
7.12.10 800

had a 10day break had more hcg on

17.12.10 2500 saw sac looking 5wk plus
19.12.10 2600
21.12.10 3000

was told non viable failing pregnancy and saw hb i went back own free will 8 days later to epu and hb stopped ,

hi everybody,
i want to share my story with you to see if anybody had anything like it:
on february28th, i had a positive pregnancy test.i called my doctor and i schedule an appointment to check every thing on 03/16. on 03/10 i started spoting some dark brown. i went to dr, she said my cervix is closed but she did an u/s, she couldn't see anything in my uterus, she said that it could be too early or it's an ectopic. did a blood work that day and my hcg level was 1040, 48 hours later it was 1780, after 48 hours it became 2780, after another long 48 hour it was 4100, withing all this time i've had 4 u/s and they couldn't see anything in my uterus or any signs of ectopic either.
my doctor called me on 03/17 and asked me to go to the er and get a shot to terminate my pregnancy, there they did some more blood work that came back at 5100 and an u/s that shown nothing still in my uterus. i got the shot that same day.everything is going back to normal now, but i have a feeling inside of me telling me that i killed my own baby, i have a lot of questions that nobody was able to answer.
if anybody had the samething or know anything, please help me i'm going crazy

I'm so sorry for you loss...I'm in a similar situation and watching my levels. After today's 9th blood test, it dropped from 2718 to 2512. I have slight cramping and a tad bit of spotting. I'm hoping I'm a multiple birth canidate and this could still be a viable pregnancy. I emailed the Dr. and I know i'll have to see her tomorrow or Tueday.

My pregnacy ended this weekend in miscarriage however your daughters numbers are doubling at the right rate for a early pregnacy they may not see anything on the ultersound until her numbers reach 1000.  Also 4-5 weeks you can have implantation bleeding which is were the embro inbeds in the uterus wall lining causing some light spotting that looks like she just about to start her period or what you see when your period just ended to soon to tell tho.  Keep in touch if theres any other questions you have just ask I will gladly answer.

I hope your u/s went o.k. on wednesday. Maybe you can help me out- my daughter is approx. 6 weeks PG- and her HcG levels have gone from 150 to 295  in 2 days.  Her levels seem low and she could be anywhere from 4-5 weeks along.  She had had some brown spotting last week and 1 day it was pink/red. She is very concerned as she was PG last October and they said she had a "missed pregnancy" which resulted in a D & C. The midwife is even checking her levels on Sunday and she is scheduled for an U/S on monday. Any advice you can give me would be deeply appreciated!!

Hey, had another ultersound today and they just found a gestational sac no yolk sac or embro doc thinks its not an ectopic pregnacy just they embro didnt develope will retest levels this wensday to make sure they should rise alot more than they have been if embro is trying to develope if not then we will perform another ultersound regardless to check before removing the empty sac. Will keep you posted and informed wensday afternoon my level results should know something by their results most definitley.

My levels went up to 368 over the weekend, doc is concerned its an etpoic preg becouse of what the levels are doing and my spotting.  Ulterasound on friday showed a gestational sac, this thursday we go for another ulterasound to rule out etopic preg or not.  If etopic then will get a shot of cemo to flush out the tube but if in uterine then we discuss dnc.  We recheck my levels on wensday before my ulterasound on thursday. I got my levels back they increased to 368 over the weekend. Doc thinks it could be a etopic pregnacy but a previous utersound indicates different.  Im not spotting anymore and my progetrone levels have dropped a little.  I have another ultersound on thursday to rule out etopic preg but pregnacy isnt doubling in numbers indicting an unhealthy pregnacy. We make a decission on thursday as rather or not to dnc or cemo for the tube preg possibility if nothing shows up in the gestational sac also will retest on wensday to see what my levels are again. Hope for the best!!

Hey I am sorry to hear that. I understand about keeping the faith and the hope but dropping numbers is NEVER a good sign. I am really sorry and hope you can try again soon (((HUGS)))!

I don't want to be a grinch but usually if your levels are dropping that indicates the start of a miscarriage. You won't necessarily have heavy bleeding and/or pain with the early stages of miscarriage. You need to ask your doctor what's going on .Have you had a follow-up ultrasound? The only reason that can usually account for dropping numbers in a healthy pregnancy is it there were originally twins and one didn't develop...but for a singleton pregnancy, the numbers must always be increasing, even if it's slow, for a positive prognosis. I'm very sorry but I definitely think you need to call your doctor right now and get an answer.

Hey, got my levels back today and they droped friday to 295 from 313 on wensday no bleeding yet hoping they went up since friday will keep you posted.

No problem! I have heard of a few cases where they are just slow growers and turn out to be okay but no false hope. I hope that it turns out well honey!

Yeah, Im very concerned, and my spotting has stopped once again will post tommorow my HCG levels as of friday. Thanks for responding nickie85.

It is really hard to say exactly what is going n at this point. There was not enough of a rise to predict a healthy pregnancy. I think that you should definitely consult your doctor on what is going on with your numbers. Good luck!
