Am I pregnant?

I am freaking myself out. I have this suspicion I am pregnant. 1. It could be because it’s just in my head since I just attended my friend’s baby shower, 2. My “symptoms” could just be a coincidence, 3. Maybe these are problems I am having since my colposcopy procedure or 4. maybe I am just getting fatter! For almost two weeks now I have had waves of headaches and stomach cramping. I go to the bathroom more and my stomach just feels constantly big like I just ate a lot or bloated. Over the weekend I had lower back pains and really bad cramps and waves of headaches. I even feel a little warmer than normal. I did take a pregnancy test but it was negative. I did read that if it’s before after two weeks of conception is could be a false negative but I wouldn’t be feeling these things this soon then if that’s the case, correct? I wouldn't have a missed period because I am on the pill where I don't have my period at all. I had missed a few pills in a row. I have the doctor tomorrow so she could tell me for sure.

I am on pill 18 out of 21 days. I skip the last 7 of my pack and start my new one. This was okayed by a doctor. I did take a test Sat and it said not pregnant. Guess I probably aren't then, huh.

Try not to worry. It could just as easily be a stomach infection (I get those frequently and they go away) or, as you said, a reaction to the colposcopy. You could read about your birth control to figure out whether or not the few times you missed the pill + specific timing could have allowed pregnancy to happen. If there's anything I'm learning while trying to get pregnant, it's that it isn't as easy to get pregnant as I'd worried it would be back when I didn't want it. That doesn't mean to say that you can do whatever you want without worry, but it really does depend upon specific timing to work out.

Let us know what happens and hope your doc helps you clear things up.

How many dpo (days past ovulation) are you?  Or, what day of your cycle are you?  If you have a normal 28 day cycle, most people ovulate about day 14.  First Response can give you accurate results as soon as 9 days past ovulation.
