Antibiotics safe at 27 weeks?

I was prescribed Apo-Cephalex 500mg (to be taken four times a day until finished) by an ER doctor & the warnings say "Not to be taken during pregnancy & breastfeeding unless benefits outweigh the risks." Its for an infected ingrown toenail that bleeds, oozes pus, is red & swollen. Im 27w+1d & scared to take them. Ive soaked my foot in warm epsom salt water, used polysporin, rubbing alcohol & nothing seems to work. Ive had it for about two weeks now.

Any input?

I cut off that part of the nail when it first started hurting before any sign of infection! Also the skin around is over growing the area, covering almost a quarter of me toenail making it extremely painful to try & clean under it :/

Have you tried cutting the corner of the toenail off that is infected? Its hurts to do it but I did it and my toe was healing up in 2 days. But Yea as long as a Dr. Prescribed it to you it should be ok
