We had Vaida Jade picked out for our girl; but we're having a boy! I was thinking Isabella too, but it's the top baby name on like every website.
We live in Germany and Isabella isnt as common here as it was in the US :) so luckily it being on the top of the US lists hasn't been a problem so much for us :) I dont know any Isabellas here.
Ohhh yeah that's good, well it's harder for you because you have two haha! I loved the name Isabella Rian, but DH didn't :[
Two of my FAVORITE girl names are Samantha and Savannah. So far we have had all boys and havent been able to use them. I dont know if either would work for you............... besides even if I have a girl I probably wont get to use them, hubby doent really like either of them:( UGH, MEN!!
isn't Adeline german? you can called her addie for short. i love that name.
I wish I knew more German names but I don't! I really like babynames.com because you can create a list of baby names and have people vote on the names! It's very cool.
What about the german name . My husband is German and I am German/Irish. Also, the name Lorelei which means alluring. Or Aubrey which means noble. Hannah is a very pretty name too. I hope this helps.
i was gonna call this baby lauren/loren if it was a girl. i quite like heidi too. i'm having my fourth boy though so i won't be using either lol
Alissa
Emma
Giselle
Karleigh/Karlee
Loralie
Kara
Sarah-Isabella
and i like the name cerra for a first name and bella for the middle name!
best of luck picking names!

I have this website i found its really good!! you can search by anything letter meaning and yes i looked origin too!!! Hopefully it can help!
Alyssa or Alissa was one of the names we had on the list last time. I have to ask my DH if he still likes it (he has changed his mind on a few names we liked last time)
Emma was also one I liked. I have to bring that one back up to him too.
Sarah is too common here in German. And it is pronounced "Zara" in German which I dont like as much as the English pronounciation.
Karleigh wont work, at least not with that spelling because in German it would be prounounced "Kar-lie" instead of "Kar-lee". That is always with spelling with "ei" in them.
Thanks for the suggestions! I need to add Emma and Alyssa to the list. :)
Melissa0116 - Thanks for the suggestions! We dont live that far from the Loreley (Lorelei) and so it would be a little weird if we named our little girl that. I know my husband will veto it. I like Aubrey and Abagail...both of those names dont really exist here, but my DH didn't like either! Hannah is pronounced different in German than English...not extremely different, but enough to get it ruled out ;)
Tiredbuthappy - thanks for the suggestion, but Adeline isnt my thing either.
Blueeyedtabbycat - Samantha isnt really my thing, but I do think Savannah is interesting. Unfortunately my husband just vetod it. :(
motherofan18month - argh, My husband just said he doesnt like Emma cause it is too short; now he claims to not remember Alyssa was on the list with our DD (but it was) and he says he doesnt like it; and Karlee he doesnt like cause he said it sounds like a dogs name (my Aunt in PA has a dog with that name, and that is the only time he ever heard that name).... Any more suggestions?!?!?!?!?!
Ladies - I think names that end in "a" for some reason appeal to me most. Dont know why. The names dont have to be German - actually it is probably better if they are not German! My husband vetos everything. Help! :)
Riley, Cierra, Annalisa, Leah or Lia, Rhianna, Tierney, Quinn, Mia, Maya or Miya...
Trying to think of -a names (ending with -a or -ah). = )
Do any of you ladies have this problem? My husband vetoes everything! I think we will just name both our girls Isabella! Isabella 1 and Isabella 2 :)
Please please please please keep them coming. I appreciate the suggestions! :)
i have the same exact problem. Not only is the language thing an issue, but he just has really cr@ppy taste in baby names. He vetoed just about every name i like. This time, he's not even letting me consider names until we know the sex so that it's half as much to debate :(
I'm taking these from the US census top 200... choosing those that end with A
Mia, Natalia (Natalie, but I put an "A" at the end for you), Ella, Anna, Brianna, Victoria, Julia, Sophia, Gabriella, Alexandra, Angelina, Arianna, Carolina, Adriana, Lydia, Keira, Juliana, Sienna, Alexia, Karina, Kyla...
http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/popularnames.cgi
what about Micaela. This name ends in an a and means gift of god.
freya, klara, yasmina, mina, lena, rosa, allanyah...lol i'm just making them up now
We were going to name our daughter Lily Anna, that way we could call her Lily OR use her middle name too and call her "Lily Anna".
Other names (and I'm using names of people I know that end with an "a") are:
Sylvia
Micah
Nadia
Corrina (pronounced Cor-Inna)
Sheila
Tara
Melia
Most of these people are between 25 and 35 years old...
How about Aarika? Isabella and Aarika sound great. It is so hard to pick out names. me and my husband have the same problem. But I do think Aarika is a great name. Good luck
since he vetoes everything you could them isabella & arabella, or isabella & gabriella! lol gabby and izzy are cute nicknames! just a thought!
My daughter's middle name is Matilda, I love this and I think it's german?
What about Lydia, or Morgan or Heike (pronounced Hike-uh)
What about, I dont know if these have been said.....
