Anybody test positive for BV?

I went to the hospital on Wednesday because I was having contractions every 2 min. I'm only 34 weeks. But while I was there, they ran tests and said I had Bacterial Vaginosis (BV). So my doctor prescribed me a gel to insert vaginally but after reading the warnings I'm scared to use it. Has anyone had this and used the medication before??

It gave some discharge that honestly looks like tissue. Like if its making the skin inside my vagina fall off. Its gross. I'm gonna call my doctor and leave a message but I won't hear back until tomorrow. I didn't have any symptoms at all though. And I've never had a yeast infection either. She'll test me again when I'm done with the treatment to make sure it's gone, right?

I don't feel like I had bv either..I had all the signs of yeast infection and no signs of bv. My symptoms respond to yeast infection treatments its just that it always comes back. It didn't respond to the antibiotic pill at all, all that did was make me have a lot of nausea and bad taste in my mouth. If your to worried I would give the Dr a call and tell him what's going on. Depends on if its a mild side effect or not.

Yeah its the metro gel. Why do you think it didn't work? For me, I didn't even have any of the symptoms associated with it so I had no idea about it. But I started the treatment last night and now I'm getting a side effect not listed so I'm nervous.

By fine I mean it didn't hurt the baby...but to be honest I don't feel like the crap even worked and it can cause yeast infection so take it with probiotic and eats a lot of plain yogurt.

Yeah,i dont know about these test they run and how accurate they r...in early pregnancy I took oral antibiotics for bv I'm 26 weeks now and I'm fine..I've heard that the gel u insert works better and is safe after second trimester..is it metro gel? The pill and the gel are the same its just u take them different. And gel has less side effects.
