I started taking them while pregnant...hun, they're safe. The only time they could effect your baby is if you took them in the first trimester

I'd ask for a second opinion, basically my doctor said not safe but to take them if I was desperately depressed without them, but I wasn't I was ok. Like I said, nothing with hormones etc in is 100% safe. Just ask another doctor Or go with what you're comfortable with xx

And in my opinion and being completely honest your baby is absorbing anything you take . So nothing is 100% safe. I came off mine and felt fine all pregnancy and have never needed them since and that was like two years ago. If your concerned ask your doc about slowly coming off them.  If you think you'll be very depressed without them I guess that's what my doc meant by only take if the benefits outweigh the risks..he did say It's not classed as safe but for some people who are very depressed without then I guess its the better choice to take them. I'd def speak to your doc or get a second opinion

My doc told me to.come off them unless the benefits outweigh the risks.

Also never listen to the internet. Your Dr isn't going to give you something that will harm your baby

I'm taking the same thing. They will ease you off the meds a month before your baby is born. No worries dear :)

My cousin was on lexapro and changed over to celexia when she became pregnant. Not to scare you but her daughter has some issues. She needed physical therapy to start walking, her eyes are cross eyed, her head is too big for her body and she is a slow thinker. They have not gotten to the root of her problems. I'm unsure if my cousin took other meds that could of caused harm or what. I know that sometime the benefits outweigh the risks. If your concerned ask more questions or another one of your doctors so you are well informed.
Best of luck to you!!
