Anyone know about Uterine Cysts and Miscarriage?

After I had my miscarriage last month, I had an ultrasound to make sure that all products of conception exited my body during the miscarriage.  When they performed the ultrasound, my doctor said "Oh... you have a uterine cyst".  I really didn't think anything of it since they run in my family.  When I google "uterine cyst" it brings up info on "uterine fibroids".  (Not sure if those two mean the same thing... fibroid vs. cyst)  When I click on "uterine fibroids" there is some suggestion that women who have these are at a higher risk of miscarriage.  Does anyone have any insight on this?  Has anyone gone on to have a sucessful pregnancy with uterine cysts/fibroids?  I am just curious as to why my doctor wouldn't have been more interested in this.  After all, I have had 2 miscarriages in a row.  Any insight is appreciated

That's the only thing I found although I'm not sure that a polyp is the same thing as a cyst... I don't think fibroids is considered cysts though. But I can't really find anything on cysts.. Can they not give you meds to make the cysts go away? I know I had cysts there once and took meds to get rid of them.

When you visit with your reproductive endocrinologist for fertility treatments, you will probably have to go through a full physical exam. Though this can be uncomfortable, it is necessary in order to help find out the source of your fertility issues. During these exams, health care providers sometimes discover cysts and polyps on the reproductive organs. Though generally harmless, occasionally these cysts and polyps can interfere with fertility. Uterine polyps are sometimes associated with infertility. Uterine polyps can affect the lining of the uterus. This lining is very important when it comes to embryo implantation. If the lining becomes unhealthy or unstable due to uterine polyps, this can interfere with implantation. It can also increase your chances for miscarriage.
