Ciera call the hospital and ask the girls in the nursery. I'm sure they have seen it before. Or even the pediatric doc office.
I do agree with PP that quiting cold turkey is not good, what if you broke your dosage in half this week instead of not taking it at all?
And docs are trained that if the benefits outweighs risks that that is the best option.
Thank you for responding.! I'm still undecided about taking them just because I don't want the withdrawals to harm him once he's out... But I am in a lot of pain and I still have things that need to be done and my 3 year old to care for, (plus my 5 year old stepdaughter on weekends) so I really can't be stuck in bed. The pain gets so bad that I can hardly walk without crying. :( I just wish someone who has taken them could tell me how their baby was when he/she was born and if the withdrawals were really hard on baby or hardly noticeable or nothing at all.? It'd be so much more reassuring. :/
I would continue taking them. I have fibromyalgia and was taking 20mg oxycodone a day found out I was pregnant and quit I went through withdrawal had insomnia and was so miserable when I saw my doctor she put me back on oxycodone 10mg a day she said its not good to quit cold turkey when I feel withdrawal baby feels the same and its not good it causes stress on the fetus if im sick like that there is a chance of miscarriage so she decided the benefits outweighs the risks
It's really up to you if you want to keep taking them. Personally, I avoid medicine as much as possible, but at the same time, if you're in that much pain. .. maybe you should take them?
No but if the doctor prescribed it than u will be fine
