I've waited with my kiddos. It's such a wonderful moment to find out at the birth. Kind of hard to wait but for my husband and I, we like the surprise at the end. :>) good luck
With my first I waited until delivery although I had the strong feeling it was a boy(it was) but we got everything neutral and it was fine
Haha, that's what I am scared of. That it will be obvious to spot it! Maybe I'll just ask them to not show me the screen and for them to only take a picture when the bits aren't showing etc. Will have to tell them before the scan starts that I don't want to know the sex.
I tried to wait, but he made it all too obvious at the 20 week ultrasound that he was a little boy.

You don't know your babies gender until they are a bit older. Sex and gender are different. Gender isn't related to their genitals. Gender is something they decide themselves. Pink/blue is for girls and boys. I won't care if my son decides to dress up in a princess dress/skirt or my daughter decides she wants to dress up as a cow boy :)
You can dress an infant in any clothes and still look adorable but also dress the child in something that also fits there gender to
Hey GeekMom1213,
I understand what you are saying. There are women that insist on dressing their kids based on biological sex. E.g swamp them in pink etc. If I do have a girl. I will definitely not be dressing her up in pink stuff and princess outfits. I'm a tom boy myself. So I am not very girly. My mum would dress me up in tom boyish stuff and people use to think I was a boy even at age 10. My sisters on the other hand are girly. Make up etc. Obsessed with shoes and clothes. I'm just not bothered. I'm not going to force them to be girlish or boyish :) I'm going to let them decide :) If they want to wear pink/blue/ black/green yellow. so be it. But I am definitely not going to force it on them.
This is my first, so it's super exciting :) I can't wait!
I'm 36 weeks today and despite needing to have weekly ultrasounds from here on out due to complications we still don't know and we're keeping it that way!
It is not very easy to find clothing that's strictly neutral. But I don't believe that colors are gender specific and I don't think that the clothes my baby wears as an infant will have any effect on his or her life. We have some things that are black, gray, orange, white, teal... good "neutral" shades... but we also have lots of "boy" things that are hand-me-downs from our 4-year-old son - all of which will be perfectly appropriate regardless of baby's biological sex. It drives me mad that so many really adorable and otherwise completely neutral onesies have ruffled necklines. Why why why??? Infant boys and girls have the same fat little legs. Is it REALLY necessary to put a 6-month-old baby into SKINNY JEANS? Just gross, in my opinion.
This is my second baby, and I love surprises but my bf wants us to wait to find out the sex of our baby til birth, but I have a little boy already so I'm excited to find out if it's a girl or a babyboy.
Awe, congratulations :) I may find it tempting :)I'm not bothered what sex the baby turns out to be :) Just as long as I have a healthy baby :) I wish you a happy birth :) I'm quite Early in my pregnancy :) Have you found it easy to pick out unisex things? I'd rather dress my baby in neutral colours rather than definite pinks and blues. I like White and Yellow :) also Grey :) and Black :)
