Anyone with Preterm Labor issues?

Hello all!  I am 18w 1d and with my previous two pregnancies I went into labor at 19 w and 20 w respectively. (delivered at 32w and 39w with stitch) I had been contracting all day Friday - was told by Dr to go to Labor and Delivery for monitoring. I did not, woke up at 10am felt like I had been contractin all nite - went potty - wiped Bright Red blood and mucus.  Went to L & D.. my cervical cerclage was still in from the visual inspection but they did not do an u/s to see if I was opening internally w my cervix.  Which is what has happened int the past.  Frequent contractions but not very large (seriously.. I am 18 weeks have gained 5 lbs and still wear a size 2.. my belly is small and the baby is not that strong to make Large Contractions.. same thing happend with my daughter - 5 residents examined me and wanted to send me home.. my dr examined me when he thought I was contracting (then i was too small to really show on the monitor too) and my sac was coming through the birth canal and ws 3 cm dilated and fully effaced... Okay - I don't have so much as a question as I do feedback.. I have an u/s tomorrow with the high risk drs so they will be able to check my cervix.. But I have NEVER bled or had mucus discharge before.. I am wondering if that is a sign my cervix is opening when the little contractions are occuring but the stitch is making it appear closed when I am not... Thoughts...
Thanks so much!
Mel

I am on the injections - started last week... another tonight (they are not as painful as I thought!!)- I hope that things quiet down a bit - I do work and really do not want to go on bedrest.. but I think that might be a reality soon - I had 15 weeks bedrest in the hosptial with the first and 8 weeks at home with the 2nd... Are you feeling okay?

I have had some preterm labor with all three of my kid's and it sounds as if you could be starting to dialate or atleast getting ready too. are you on any type of contraction suppreants? I have had to go on contraction suppressants with all of my pregnancy since i started contracting at about 20 weeks with all of them. and next time it might be good to just go in for the monitoring, the way I see it better go in and it's nothing than risk having your baby at 18 weeks (most hospitals can't even do anything to save the baby until it is at least 20-24 weeks). i had me first at 28 weeks and that was scary enough!  Good luck i hope your Dr finds out a way to keep you from dialating and having so many contractions! I hope you and baby stay happy and healthy and if you need to talk more you can message me as well!!!
