Anyone?

Has anyone ever got denied the cvs test when you are a high risk pregnancy?

Thank you so much ladies I'll ask for the blood test then when I go back for my next appointment. I'm on some class D meds so I just wanted to see if my lil peanut is ok

Just have maternity 21 test done its a blood test

Oh. It stands for Chronic Villus Sampling. It's done by using a small catheter, guided by ultrasound through the cervix, to collect a tissue/cell sample of the placenta.

I'm high risk and told them flat out the only testing they were doing during this pregnancy was on myself and my blood. My doctor quickly reassured me he had no intention of amniocentesis or CVS testing. A lot of what the CVS looks for can be done by drawing the mother's blood, which I did agree to allow simply for the sake of being prepared just in case.
