Appointment question.

I found out I was pregnant around 13 weeks and it's taken 2 months for my insurance to finally get straightened out. So I'm now 21 weeks. Since I'm so far along do you ladies think I'll get an ultrasound at my first appointment next week? Or just a regular appointment where they ask about my medical background, pap smear, etc.?

That sounds right.  There is a lot of measuring to do at the 20ish week ultrasound.

The big one is the one you find out gender and they do the anatomy (brain, heart, bones, etc)

I called and she said I should receive one. And they'll see me up for my "big one". I'm guessing that might be the 3d/4d one?

My office doesn't have it's own machine, so I have to go to the hospital for all my ultrasounds.  You might want to call in advance to see if they will schedule that appointment for you now if that is the case.

All you have to do is call and ask them. If they say they don't know you can ask them to ask the doctor

My office have an u/s machine but they used it only to see baby positioning after I had to be sent to find out the gender and measurements somewhere else. Maybe you should call and ask. But being your first appointment they possibly won't but possibly will being that far. Just depends on doctor.

I know the office has ultrasound machines there. My boyfriend just doesn't want to miss it if he knows there will be an ultrasound.

It all depends on your ob office. Mine set up an u/s for another date.

I think it depends on the doctor. Some office have the ultrasound machines and others you have to be sent somewhere else
