Ate A Lot of "NoNo" Food!

I am currently 20 weeks pregnant.  I got an email today, telling me what to eat and not eat, which made me paranoid.

I have eaten blue cheese twice this pregnancy.
Worse, I have been eating "over easy" eggs every day for months!

I am obviously going to stop, but would I feel sick if there was a problem?

Over easy eggs are OK as long as the white is completely done :) don't worry. I love them to some mornings a crave them I've ate them a good bit. My baby is fine and healthy at 28 weeks 4 days :)

i have had over easy eggs alot.  I know i was supposed to change it but I just couldn't stomach scrambled eggs.... they made me sick.   I did switch to poached eggs as a variation.    I wouldn't worry about the eggs as much as the other things that we pregnant ladies aren't supposed to eat.

Steph, what a great answer! I knew I wasn't the only one who loved eggs!
I never ate them before pregnancy, but man, I literally want two every day!

I asked my doc about eggs since we eat a lot of them. He said as long as the white is cooked through and the yolk steaming (but not necessarily cooked solid), it's fine.

It depends on the source of the list how much stock I would put in it: For example, when I was pregnant just 4 years ago, there were all kinds of warnings about "soft cheeses" such a feta, brie, blue, etc in various update e-mails I read (e.g., from a site like this one). It seems most have now corrected their lists for pasteurization rather than banning whole categories of cheeses that were traditionally not made with pasteurized milk.

If you are unsure what to really pay attention to and what you can disregard, I would suggest asking your doctor/nurse for their recommendations since you probably chose your provider by the amount of trust you put in him/her.

I don't think you should worry. The reason they say for pregnant women not to eat those types of food is lowered immune system. If you didn't get sick, you're good. Stay away from the bad fish though, they can cause problems with baby.

I think you should be okay as long as you don't eat any tuna, sea food and raw food....
