Suggestions on things to do before ultrasound?

I have my 20 week ultrasound in a few days and were hoping to find out the sex of the baby :) its at 9am and I'm afraid the baby will be sleeping so we wont be able to see anything. Is their anything you lady's did so you can make the baby a little more active?

Hi hun I had my 20 week scan at 9 this morning I drank the 3cups of fluid that was recommended by hospital then I had half a glass of pure orange juice n our little girl was moving around like crazy! A little 2much lol we have 2go back in 2weeks cos she wouldn't stay still long enough for the sonographer 2see all of the spine x

Lots of water.... till your about to burst!!! If its a boy he could be like mine and have a little pee hard on and have it sticking straight out for the world to see! The u/s tech will look at your cervix and a full bladder helps with that and they'll make sure his or her bladder is full.

I drank orange juice before and omg! Poor little guy he was all over the place and it took twice as long for the appt lol my bladder was so full too i think i was ready to pee myself lol but apparently anything sweet and cold will get them moving about 30minutes before you go in

I always drink a  cherry icee... Mmm now I want one lol

I always drink a sugary drink to get baby moving.
Only down fall is baby could be overactive and will not stop for a good look lol
But it always works out for me. Good luck :)

Drink orange juice my nurse told me that and my little girl was wide awake for the ultrasound lol
