Taking Charge of Your Fertility states that a sustained rise in BBT of 18 or more days is usually indicative of pregnancy. Charting gave me insight into when I was fertile and it let me know that for 6 or 7 months, I wasn't ovulating at all.
i would say if it stays up like that in 6 days you may very well be pregnant and if stays up like that for 9 days i would say deffenetly pregnant.
GOOD LUCK
Thank you, Im going to the dr next month for testing to see if I have or have not been ovulating! Hopefully I get some helpful answers! Congrats on your BFP!!
I charted for two months and used clomid because I wasn't ovulating, and I got my bfp! You just take your waking temperature at the same time each morning. You have to have sustained a rise for three days for ff to catch it. You may have ovulated cd16, but you also had a rise on cd13, so it might not register it. But I feel like a few more days of high temps, that you did ovulate on cd16. I recommend getting Take Charge of Your Fertility. It helped me loads!
thanks! that is some good info to know! i learn something new everyday :) im going to have to check out the website! :)
Usually if your temp stays in an upward trend for 18 days after you ovulate (days past ovulation=dpo) then most of the time it means that you are pregnant. You can go to fertility friend . com and all you have to do is plug the numbers in and it will tell you when you ovulate by your temperature.
hi there- just a quick question, how do you chart like this? and what do you mean 18? thanks, just curious :)
Thank you very much! Im keeping my fingers crossed : )
It looks promising but when you are charting you want to make sure that you do it every day for complete effectiveness. Your temps are going to rise due to the progesterone made after ovulation and the general rule is if your temp stays up 18 past ovulation then there is a pretty good chance that you are pregnant! Good luck and keep us updated!
