Spotting/low hCG

I had some light spotting yesterday and then then nothing more, no cramping or anything. Well the nausea meds I'm on for my morning sickness weren't helping much and I've been really sick the last couple of days so the nurse at my OB's office told me to go to the ER for fluids. Well they checked my hCG level due to the spotting and said it was 900 and it was low. I'm not quite 6 weeks yet, will be on Wednesday, and the doctor said it was low for 6 weeks. I'm so scared. I've had miscarriages in the past and I don't think I could handle that again. Plus we found out Thursday we're expecting twins. The nurse at my OB's office NEVER listens to anything I tell her and they never ran a level on me so this is the first one I've had so we don't know how it is. I know they say to never just go off of one, and that a low level can result in a healthy baby. I'm just scared. This is Christmas time, the time of year for miracles. Pray that God protects my little miracles. I'm begging and pleading with him. I just want to bawl my eyes out right now.

All of the hCG calulators say mine is doubling right on time, every 1.5 days. So I'm not going to worry anymore. I'm going to try and stay calm until my ultrasound Wednesday morning.

Thanks. I know, that's what I'm thinking and if so then I'm right on track for twins. Im hoping this is just a test that God is putting me through and everything turns out perfectly fine. I just tested positive last Saturday which is just 10 days ago, so if hCG doubles every 48 hours like they say, then 900 sounds right on track to me. So I'm trying not to stress too much, just ready for Wednesday to get here. I just know and have faith that God would not give me such a miracle and then rip it away from me like that.

Oh I forgot you said you are not 6 weeks yet...I would definitely go off of the 5 week scale...and if that's the case, your numbers seem fine, but of course it's important that they rise. I really hope you get to see those heartbeats on Wed! Try not to worry too much! I know it's easier said than done.

I'm trying not to worry too much because like I said I won't be 6 weeks until Wednesday, but I'm praying so hard that everything is fine. My doctor isn't worried but wants to repeat the beta. I hope Wednesday hurries up and gets here fast. I have an ultrasound scheduled at 11 after I go for my beta. So I'm praying we see the babies and heartbeats. I know that the risk of miscarriage goes down once you see the heartbeat.

I would definitely have another test to check your HCG levels. They should double every 48-72 hours. If they are doubling I wouldn't worry too much. Sometimes spotting can be normal, and other times not. I've had 2 miscarriages and spotted with both of them, but now I am pregnant with my 3rd baby and had spotting twice this time around and everything seems to be fine. Do you get to see the heartbeats?  Do they have you scheduled for another U/S yet? I really hope everything works out!!
Here is a chart for HCG levels: (900 is on the lower end for 6 weeks according to this scale, but definitely not very far off)
    * 3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
    * 4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
    * 5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
    * 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
    * 7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
    * 9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
    * 13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
    * 17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
    * 25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
    * Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
