Baby Monitors

I need advice on baby monitors.
I want a video baby monitor cause i have a 4 year old and want to make sure he doesn't get up in the middle of the night to bug/disturb the baby.
But i want the pros and cons of having a video one over a motion one

With my son i just had a basic one that picks up noise and it worked fantastically

Here in Australia a pedafile hacked into the video monitor of a 2 year old girl who's parents still had her in a cot and was court read handed telling the girl to do disgusting stuff to her self. Please if you get one of these video ones make shore you ALWAYS update the virus where on it as soon as the update becomes available and always be on the listen for strange voices

Ok ya i haven't heard of that story about the teens but i think it can only happen with the WIFI baby video monitors

I love the video monitors we have a summer brand one it was like $100 or less and it works great

I don't think there are cons to having a video baby monitors. That's what I have for my baby and I love it! It also has music on it and a 2-way speaker so I can talk and sing to her :)

Yea I heard about that story too! Freaked me out enough to just go with audio monitors.

I heard a story once where 2 teen boys were trying to be funny and hacked onto a baby's video monitor and were making scary noises and masks on and sh*t. Soo im clear off of video monitors lol. But that's just me. Your reason seems pretty important, but remember we didn't always have these monitors:)

I just had the motion one with my first. It was annoying as sometimes it was hard to tell if he was just grumbling in his sleep ir was actually awake and if I opened the door it would absolutely wake him up. I also like to check him before I go to sleep without disturbing him. Anyway, with this one we've just gone and bought a video monitor and I can't wait to use it.
