Baby bowl movements

I am 24 weeks pregnant and me and my mom were talking about baby bowl movements while in the womb....Do babies poop while in the womb?  If so where does it go?? i know they pee and where does that go??

I asked my doctor about the pee thing. Basically they sip the amniotic fluid, and pee it back out into the amniotic fluid.....so yeah. They are essentially drinking their own urine. How cute! lol.

thats why when delivering if they start to see muconeum(spelling) or suspect it they right awaytake ectra measures to make sure they dont inhale an of it cause like said above it can ruin lungs, cause pneumonia and infections and stuff

Babies don't poop until they are born, unless they are overdue, in which case it's called meconium (1st poop).......This is part of the reason that they don't let women go too far overdue, b/c if the baby has a bowel movement while inutero and inhales it, it destroys lung tissue.
